International trade in services and the balance of payments are calculated on the basis of the UN's Nomenclature of Services EBOPS 2010 (Extended Balance of Payments Services Classification), as stated in the International Service Trade Manual MSITS 2010 (Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services), issued by the UN, et al in 2010. EBOPS is incorporated as a nomenclature in the EU balance of payments regulation etc. cf. above, which is based on the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 standard.
