    National Accounts: Household Consumption Expenditure

    The first version of a preliminary annual national account for HFCE is published at the end of February the following year. The annual accounts are then revised in March and June, and again in June of the subsequent year. The final national accounts for HFCE are published two and a half years after the reference year.

    Timeliness and time lag - final results

    HFCE by purpose are published and revised by the same principles as the national accounts as a whole. HFCE data by purpose are first published 50 days after the end of a quarter as part of the quarterly national accounts, with revised numbers published 90 days after the quarter's end. The first preliminary annual HFCE figures by purpose are published at the end of February following the reference year as part of the first publication of the annual national accounts. The annual HFCE data by purpose are subsequently revised in March and June, and again in June the following year. The final HFCE figures by purpose are published two and a half years after the reference year, This timetable is in compliance with the timeliness requirements laid down in the ESA 2010 and the transmission Programme.

    Punctuality

    The national accounts, including HFCE, are released in accordance with the established publication schedule.
