Overall accuracy

The data are based on reports from all municipalities. Only logical validation, and not validation of the actual data content, is performed for these statistics.

Sampling error

Not relevant for these statistics.

Non-sampling error

One important source of uncertainty is whether all relevant decisions have been reported and whether the same case may in some instances have been reported more than once, for example across different years. Caution should also be exercised when interpreting case processing times up to and including 2024. Reporting practices did not clearly distinguish between the municipality’s first decision and the final decision following a possible appeal. In some cases, the reported processing time may therefore also include time spent on reconsideration by the municipality or Ankestyrelsen and may consequently be overestimated. For 2025, there is also some uncertainty concerning cases decided late in the year, as the reporting deadline falls before the expiry of the appeal period. This may result in a minor overestimation of the number of cases and the amounts granted.

Quality management

Statistics Denmark follows the recommendations on organisation and management of quality given in the Code of Practice for European Statistics (CoP) and the implementation guidelines given in the Quality Assurance Framework of the European Statistical System (QAF). A Working Group on Quality and a central quality assurance function have been established to continuously carry through control of products and processes.

Quality assurance

Statistics Denmark follows the principles in the Code of Practice for European Statistics (CoP) and uses the Quality Assurance Framework of the European Statistical System (QAF) for the implementation of the principles. This involves continuous decentralized and central control of products and processes based on documentation following international standards. The central quality assurance function reports to the Working Group on Quality. Reports include suggestions for improvement that are assessed, decided and subsequently implemented.

Quality assessment

The annual release is published no later than nine months after the end of the reference period, ensuring that users have access to up-to-date and relevant information on the subject.

The division into the Statistikbank-tables HANDBIL1, HANDBIL2 and HANDBIL3 enables users to examine data on support for cars for persons with disabilities by relevant parameters.

The statistics are made available through an article in the series News from Statistics Denmark, the Statbank tables, microdata and the present documentation. The registers enable researchers, ministries and other relevant users to conduct more detailed analyses of support for cars for persons with disabilities.

The statistics cover the entire country and are based on logically validated reports from all 98 municipalities.

The data should be used subject to the reservations described under “Overall accuracy” and “Non-sampling error”.

Data revision - policy

Statistics Denmark revises published figures in accordance with the Revision Policy for Statistics Denmark. The common procedures and principles of the Revision Policy are for some statistics supplemented by a specific revision practice.
