    Standard multipliers

The multiplier experiments are carried out by changing one or a few of the exogenous variables. Then the model is simulated to calculate the effect on the endogenous variables. There is no provision for possible ties between the exogenous variables. This means that one has to be careful when interpreting the experiments as real world economic events are rarely confined to changes in one exogenous variable., All experiments expand economic activity. In some experiments the effect is temporary and in others the effect is permanent. In general, a demand shock in ADAM like an additional public purchase of goods, affects production and employment in the short run. However, in the long run a demand shock has no effect on employment. In contrast, a supply shock such as an increase in the labor force has a permanent effect on employment. This is in line with most models of a small open economy with a fixed exchange rate and a Phillips curve., There is no monetary reaction function and there is no fiscal reaction function in ADAM, which should be taken into consideration when comparing to models for other countries. Also the specific laws and rules modelled in ADAM (e.g. regulatory mechanisms in taxes and transfers) affect the comparison with other countries., ADAM multipliers - October 2015 (preliminary version), Starting with the October 2015 version, the labour supply multiplier is also calculated with increased export price elasticity in the model., The calculations are made with the model version October 2015 using the baseline lang15., ADAM multipliers - October 2014, The calculations are made with the model version October 2014 using the baseline lang14., ADAM multipliers - June 2014, From the June 2014 version and onwards, all shocks to economic policy instruments have been scaled to represent 0.1 per cent of GDP at constant prices. For multipliers on earlier model versions, the policy shock represented 1000 mill. Dkr. at constant prices., The calculations are made with the model version June 2014 using the baseline lang14., ADAM multipliers - July 2013, The calculations are made with the model version July 2013 using the baseline lang13., ADAM multipliers - October 2012, The calculations are made with the model version October 2012 using the baseline lang13., ADAM multipliers - December 2009, From the December 2009 version and onwards, two multipliers (the public purchase multiplier and the labour supply multiplier) have also been calculated under a budget constraint to illustrate the consequences of a fiscal rule., The calculations are made with the model version December 2009 using the baseline lang11.

Documentation of statistics: Port calls in Danish sea ports (experimental statistics)

The statistics as an experimental statistics is not part of the official statistics program of Statistics Denmark. The statistics is experimental because it is the first time Statistics Denmark uses the large amounts of data in the AIS system (Automated Information System) and the methods for data treatment are still under development. The details in the presentation and the form of dissemination can change as Statistics Denmark receives feedback from users or during the continued development., Statistical presentation, The statistics is an index of the number of port calls to Danish ports and covers freight and container vessels. The statistics is made based on ship position data (AIS data) made available by the Danish Maritime Authority. The statistics is only published in the Statbank., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, AIS data is received in a continuous stream and registered daily. The process starts with a data reduction after which a representative arrival and departure observation is selected. Afterwards the ports are defined from the AIS-data after which ports and arrival/departure pairs representing a port call is matched., Finally tables, indices and seasonally adjustments are produces., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The statistics provides faster data on the activity in Danish ports and the possibility to cover more types of vessels compared to existing maritime statistics. The statistics is experimental and a part of this concept is to reveal relevance and user needs. Industry organisations have however expressed interest in the statistics., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The precision of the statistics in terms of the development of the actual port calls in Danish ports and for freight and container vessels is relative high based on a comparison between the quarterly maritime statistics., The statistics is at the moment assessed to have a medium reliability since no revision analysis has been performed yet., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The statistics is planned for publication approximately 10 days after the reference period., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, Only few other countries uses AIS data to make maritime statistics since the statistics still is an experimental statistics without a fixed international methodology. The statistics is published since 2023 with indices going back to 2021., Statistical presentation, The statistics is a quarterly statistics for the Denmark., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The rent indices is based on a sample of commercial real estate that are privately rented. The sample covers app. 140,000 property units out of a population of app. 700,000 property units. The index is calculated by the match models method, i.e. the change in rent is measured by comparing the rent of the same property unit between two adjacent periods., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The statistics is primary used as a business cycle indicator by the European Systemic Risk Board and the European Central Bank. Other uses of the statistics is to shed light on developments of rent in the rental market for commercial real estate., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, It is not possible to quantify the statistical uncertainty in the rent indices for commercial real estate because the sample is not randomly drawn from the population, thus there is a potential for a sample bias.. The rent is collected on the first day of the first month of the relevant quarter. Thus, there will be uncertainty associated with changes to the rent within the quarter that are not captured., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The statistic is published on the 15th or the first working day thereafter, in the first month after the quarter. Only final indices are published., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The calculation is based on a uniform basis since 2021. The statistic covers the years from 2021. , Statistical presentation, The statistic is a quarterly statistics who show the development in rents before rent subsidies. , Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The Rent indices for housing are based on a sample of privately owned rented dwellings, social rental housing and cooperative dwellings. The rent development for the social rental housing is based on administrative data from The National Bulding Fund (Landsbyggefonden) and thus covers the entire population of social rental housing. Privately owned rented dwellings is covered by a sample of approx. 110.000 dwellings out of a population of approx. 500.000 privately owned rented dwellings. Cooperative dwellings is covered by a sample of approx. 600 dwellings. Social rental housing and private rental housing each amount to almost half of the total rental housing market whereas cooperative dwellings account for approx. 10 per cent. , Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The statistic measures the development in rent (housing). , Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, It is not possible to quantify the uncertainty in the rent indices for housing, as the sample behind is not randomly drawn . However, for social housing, the statistics are based on the population of social housing, which is why there is no uncertainty here. For the private rental homes, the sample consists of approx. 110,000 rental homes out of a population of approx. 500,000 rental housing, so here there is limited sample uncertainty. Cooperative dwellings are covered by a sample of approx. 600 dwellings, so here there is sample uncertainty. , Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The consumer price index including the rents index is published on the 10th or the first working day thereafter, following the month in which the data was collected.
