A relative is a partner, half or full sibling, parent, grandparent, child, child-in-law or grandchild. Partners and children-in-law are identified using information such as shared address. The other relative relations are identified solely using parent-child linkages in the Danish Civil Registration System (CPR).

Consultations with physicians
The primary source is LUNA, which is the IT system used by the regions to process reimbursements for health insurance services. Additionally, there are supplementary sources regarding services from the tariff folders.

The statistics are based on annual extracts from LUNA, which is the IT system used by the regions to settle accounts for health services with the individual providers (e.g., physicians, dentists, etc.). The statistics are comparable from 2006 onwards.
The purpose of the Hospital Utilisation Statistics is to shed light on the connection between hospitals stays and social and demographic conditions. The statistics have been compiled since 1990, but are comparable in their current form only from 2017 onwards.
The aim of the statistics "Purchase of prescription medicine" is to elucidate the population’s purchase of medicines via prescription. The statistics can be used to get insight into the distribution of redeemed prescriptions in relation to type of medicine, gender, age, geography and social conditions.
The purpose of the Relatives Statistics and the associated Relatives Register is to map the population’s relatives in a standardized and well-tested manner. It also aims to assess the closeness of a relatives between two individuals based on distance measured in kilometers, as well as whether the two individuals have at some point shared a residence, or whether they share a residence at the time of reference.
The purpose of these statistics is to display the quality level of municipal services in the elderly care. The statistics are a part of a cross-public cooperation, intended to ensure coherent documentation of important areas of municipal service, as well as to increase the comparability of the services provided in the different municipalities. The statistics are used to determine impact targets, frameworks and results requirements for key management initiatives and are comparable from 2008 onwards. Statistics Denmark is responsible for the composition and publication of the statistics.
