In addition, the statistics calculate the extent of payments for the use of music for public play and by reproduction, as well as the property rights income for composers and performers. Statistics Denmark published the statistics for the first time in 2014. In 2023, the statistics were expanded with statistics on the number of registered musical works and the number of authors of music, who are copyright holders., Statistical presentation, The statistics is an annual statement of sales of recorded music and rights, as well as the number of registered musical works and authors of music with registered musical works. The statistics are published in News from Statistics Denmark and in the Statistics Bank. Sales are broken down by form of distribution, nationality (Denmark/Abroad), type of rights holders, geography and the gender and age of individual rights holders. Rights holders represented by, for example, a publisher are not included in the gender and age breakdown of the statistics. The number of musical works are broken down by the number of musical works in total and new registered musical works annually. The number of authors of music with new registered musical works is broken down by gender and age., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, Music statistics are based on data from the record companies' trade association (IFPI) and the organizations Koda and Gramex which manages rights payments. Data are provide by voluntary agreement. Statistics Denmark validates data by comparing with last year's data. The accounts comprise the forest land as well as the wood (timber) resource. The forest accounts were first published in 2017, as part of the Green National Accounts for Denmark. In 2021, the accounts have been extended back in time so all data series start in 1990., Statistical presentation, The forest accounts are an annual account of the Danish forest area and the growing stock in the forests. The accounts contain opening and closing stocks as well as balancing items broken down by region. Concerning the growing stock, the accounts are in physical units (cubic meters) as well as monetary units (DKK) and are published with a division into broadleaves and conifers, whereas the forest area is accounted only in physical units (square km). The accounts are published in the StatBank as well as in general publications from the Green National Accounts for Denmark., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The forest accounts are produced separately for forest area and for growing stock. The accounts for the forest area are obtained almost directly from the Danish reporting on land cover under the Kyoto Protocol and from the calculation of the area of undisturbed forest provided by the Agency for Green Transition and Aquatic Environment. For the physical growing stock accounts, several sources are matched and harmonized in order to compile complete and consistent accounts. From the physical growing stock accounts, the monetary accounts (in DKK) are calculated through a valuation model based on estimated prices., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The forest accounts are of relevance for administrative bodies, researchers, NGOs, businesses, the educational sector and individuals - all with interests in forest, natural resources, interactions between environment and economy, natural capital, sustainability etc. In the context of the United Nations and other international organizations, there is a large focus on green national accounts., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The forest accounts are reliable estimates of the physical size of the resources, as well as the change in these over a number of years. Smaller variations from one year to the next may however reflect uncertainties rather than real changes. Especially for the monetary valuation of the growing stock (in DKK) there is significant uncertainty, both concerning the estimated prices as well as inherent in the method used which is based on a number of assumptions. The estimate for the value of the growing stock should therefore be considered a provisional estimate of the order of magnitude., The figures for 2024 are preliminary and subject to greater uncertainty than usual because parts of the source data are not yet available. The growing stock has therefore been partly estimated on the basis of the 2023 distribution. The figures will be revised when the final source data become available. In addition, previously published figures for undisturbed forest have been corrected because the figures for 2023 turned out to refer to 2024., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The forest accounts are normally published 21 months after the reference period ends. Apart from minor adjustments of the target date, the accounts have always been published as planned., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The forest accounts are compiled according to the guidelines for asset accounts for natural resources from the UN statistical standard 'System of Environmental-Economic Accounting'. This ensures a high degree of comparability with the same type of accounts from other countries using this standard. The forest accounts are fully comparable across the published time series within the individual tables., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, The forest accounts are available in their most detailed form in the StatBank under the subject , Natural resource accounts, . The data are used for purposes such as policy development and legislation, public debate and research in the field., The statistics were first compiled by the Danish Social Appeals Board (Ankestyrelsen) in 2015 and have been part of Statistics Denmark’s publications since 2016., Statistical presentation, The statistics provide an annual overview of notifications concerning children and young people under the age of 18., The data include information on the number, age, and gender, date of the notification, the notifier’s relation to the child, reason for the notification, and the administrative municipality., The statistics are published in the StatBank and in the Nyt from Statistics Denmark series., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, Municipalities report information on notifications of concern to Statistics Denmark. This is done either automatically through system-to-system solutions or manually via a web-based reporting tool., Once a reporting year has ended, each municipality receives a summary of the data submitted. In cooperation with Statistics Denmark, any errors or missing information are corrected. The municipality then confirms that the data accurately reflect the number of notifications for the year. This process is called data validation., The validated data are aggregated for publication in StatBank Denmark according to standard rules, including rules for calculating age and counting children at municipal and national levels., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The statistics are relevant to researchers, journalists, public authorities – including ministries and municipalities – and others who seek knowledge about the conditions of vulnerable children and young people., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, Non-response and measurement errors introduce only minimal bias., The figures are approved by the municipalities, and the overall level of uncertainty is considered low., Data in the StatBank Denmark are republished with updates going back up to two years. These updates mainly consist of minor corrections due to non-response and measurement errors, and do not affect the overall picture., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The final statistics are published no later than nine months after the end of the reference period. The statistics are generally published on schedule, without delays. For the reporting years 2021–2025, publication followed the planned timeline. A delay occurred for the 2020 reporting year due to data delivery issues, but these were resolved before the subsequent release., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The statistics have been compiled since 2015 and are comparable over time, taking into account the revision in 2017 and the addition of new categories in 2022 and 2024. The annual count makes the data directly comparable, unlike other statistics from Statistics Denmark on vulnerable children and young people (such as placements and support measures), which are status-based. There is some potential for international comparison, particularly with statistics from Sweden and Norway., The statistics are partially internationally comparable, for example with equivalent statistics from Sweden, Norway, and – to some extent – Finland., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, The statistics are published in , Nyt fra Danmarks Statistik, . The multipliers connect environmental statistics with national accounts statistics at a detailed level and provides a picture of the effects that changes in economic final demand have on selected environmental variables. The environmental multipliers are aggregated measures of the total environmental effect on industries of specific changes in final demand in terms of waste generation, water consumption, generation of waste, CO2 emissions or other impacts., Statistical presentation, The environmental multiplier tables are organized in the following way. Firstly, they contain a reproduction of certain environmental data, which are also found in the Green National Accounts. Secondly, they contain an estimate of some direct effects calculated as the relative share between the same environmental data by industry and and central national accounts variables, typically total output by industry. Finally, the tables contain direct effects (in one industry) and indirect effects (all involved industries) of various types of final demand calculated with an input-output model., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, This statistics is based on two already published sources, namely the green national accounts and input-output tables. Thus, data was not collected specifically for this statistic. Certain parts of the two sources are reproduced in the tables, but the primary contribution lie in the use of an input-output model that contains both physical environmental data and economic national accounts data in the form of input-output tables. This hybrid model is used in various configurations to calculate so-called indirect (multiplier) effects., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, Users are, in principle, all who are interested in the extent to which different types of demand (consumption, investment, exports) have an impact on the environment (e.g. CO2 emissions, water consumption or waste) and in which industries the direct effect appears and which derived effects appears other industries. The tables thus link environmental issues with aspects of economic development and should therefore be of interest to users working with integrated planning of economic and environmental development., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The multipliers are the result of model calculations, which are based on national accounting statistics and input-output tables. In each section, polls and adjustments are made under assumptions, which together mean that the calculation process builds some uncertainty about the figures. At the most detailed level, therefore, one can not necessarily expect the results to be accurate representations of reality. Conclusions from the tables should be drawn with some caution, taking account of the uncertainties that may arise in the various stages of the process., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The tables have so far been published punctually in relation to the pre-announced release date. The multiplier tables, based on the energy accounts, are published for the first time approx. 6 months after the end of the reference year, while the emission multipliers are published in the first version approx. 10 months after the end of the reference year. Final figures are published at the same time as the national accounts become final, approx. 36 months after the end of the reference year., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The statistics are fully comparable over time. The two source statistics are both consistent over time. Multipliers are calculated at constant prices, which is necessary to get a correct impression of the development in an economic time series. This is not statutory statistics, but to the extent that other countries have produced a similar statistic, the results should be fully comparable, as it is known as internationally known source data and calculation methods., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, Data is only disseminated in the StatBank under , Environmental-economic accounts, , and statistics are not reported to international bodies. The accounts can be used for climate and environmental-economic analysis. The emission accounts are developed for 1990 and onwards according to EEA, System of Environmental Economic Accounting, which is a statistical standard published by the UN and several other international organizations provides the "State of the art" for Green National Accounts. The statistics is part of the Environmental-Economic Accounts for Denmark (Green National Accounts)., Statistical presentation, The air emission accounts are annually accounts on the emission of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants. The air emission accounts follow the same definitions and classification as National Accounts, which allows for analyses of the connection between the economy and air pollution. The accounts are published in a Danish press release and in StatBank under the subject , Energy and air emissions, ., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, Emission accounts are compiled taking energy accounts as a starting point for the emissions caused by the use of energy. Emissions caused by other factors than energy use are added subsequently and distributed among the relevant industries., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, Environmental Accounts are relevant for those interested in the correlation between the economy on the one side and environment and natural resources on the other side. Ministries and consultant firms are among the main users of environmental accounts. Accounts are included in the overall European environmental accounts, collected and compiled by Eurostat., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, There is an uncertainty connected to the compilation of Air Emission Accounts as a combination of scientific assumptions and calculations have to be made. Uncertainty inherited in the source data is transferred to the Air Emission Accounts.
