Indicators

15.b.1: Finances to biodiversity

(a) Official development assistance on conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity; and (b) revenue generated and finance mobilized from biodiversity-relevant economic instruments

Definition

This indicator describes financial support for the conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity and ecosystems, with a particular focus on sustainable forest management in developing countries, cf. 15.b.1 metadata. There are currently no specific data available for 15.b.1. However, the indicator is very similar to 15.a.1, which measures official development assistance and public expenditure on biodiversity and ecosystems in general. Data for 15.a.1 can therefore be used as a proxy to reflect developments related to 15.b.1.
