Target 3.7: Universal access to sexual and reproductive care, family planning and education
By 2030, ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including for family planning, information and education, and the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programmes.
Indicators
3.7.1
3.7.2Proportion of women of reproductive age (aged 15-49 years) who have their need for family planning satisfied with modern methods
Definition
According to the UN's definition, the indicator exclusively refers to the percentage of women of reproductive age (15-49 years) who are currently using a modern method of contraception among those who wish either not to have (additional) children or to postpone their next pregnancy. However, Denmark does not produce continuous or official statistics on women’s need for family planning. Nevertheless, all citizens in Denmark have free and unrestricted access to medical services and abortion, as well as access to contraception at an expense.
