Recipients of subsidy for private day-care

The statistics is an annual inventory for the 3. of October of the number of children and the number of families receiving subsidies for private day-care or for care of their own children after the Day Care Act, Dagtilbudsloven (§ 80 and § 86). The statistics are grouped by municipalities.

Data description

The statistics highlight private day-care and care of one's own child with municipal subsidy according to the Day Care Act (§ 80 and § 86) in the individual municipality based on information on the number of children and the number of families. The statistics are calculated each year on 3 October for the current year.

Statistical population

Recipients of subsidy for private day-care (§80 in Dagtilbudsloven) or day-care for own children (§86 in Dagtilbudsloven). Parent taking care of their children without subsidy from the municipality is not part of this statistics.

Reference area

Denmark with the exception of Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

Time coverage

The statistics cover the time span from 2008 and until to today.

The statistical unit is numbers of families or children.

The reference date is October 3 of the current year.

Frequency of dissemination

The statistics is published yearly.

Cost and burden

Automatic reporting of the electronic registrations comes from the municipalities' administrative systems. Therefore the response burden to the municipalities are minimal.

A few municipalities report the data manually.
