    Servers at the National Genome Center (NGC)

    As a user of the microdata schemes, you can choose to place your projects on Statistics Denmark's Research Machine, establish your own hosted server at Statistics Denmark, or run the projects on a server at NGC.

    Currently, Statistics Denmark offers you the use of the National Genome Center's servers, provided you are working on health projects.

    Note that this solution is based on a One-Node Architecture, which means you can only run jobs on one server. In other words, you cannot run jobs in parallel across multiple servers. Meanwhile, we are collaborating with DeiC to also provide access to the universities' HPC facilities, which will allow access to projects outside of health as well. This solution will be based on a Multi-Node Architecture, allowing you to run jobs in parallel across multiple servers.

    Connection at the National Genom Center (NGC)

    An advantage of the NGC infrastructure is that you get your own server. You rent the hardware on a monthly basis and pay for setup as well as an annual maintenance and operating fee per server you rent. Additionally, you pay an annual client fee, which covers development costs. The client fee is calculated per institution regardless of the number of servers you have.

    NGC prices are adjusted according to current NGC prices. All prices are exclusive of VAT.
    In addition to the above prices, Research Service will charge for the completion of tasks related to the project based on standard rates.
