The strategy identifies a set of targets Statistics Denmark will strive to achieve by 2022. It also pinpoints the main areas of action of our work.

Statistics Denmark delivers knowledge, which underpins decisions, debate, and research. Our goal in the coming years is to transform the institution into an extrovert data- and knowledge generator, which strengthens the common understanding of societal phenomena.

Big Data Strategy  2018-2020

Big Data is the effect of the accelerating digitisation, which means that individuals as well as enterprises leave behind electronic footprints while performing a vast number of more or less standard and everyday actions. 

Statistics Denmark’s Strategy 2022 stipulates that an action plan for utilisation of Big Data must be prepared in the strategy period.

Statistics Denmark’s Big Data Strategy will focus mainly on the application of data in relation to existing statistics and on forming data partnerships with others for the purpose of improving existing sources for the official statistics.



 

Statistics are only valuable, when they are trustworthy, comparable internationally, and timely.

The faster statistics are made public, the better the knowledge we have of society – a society in constant development. The times need numbers, and numbers must be there on time.

Communication and dissemination strategy 2018-2022

Statistics Denmark´s communication and dissemination strategy sets out the principles of how to communicate with our target groups and gives an outline of the general strategies and objectives for our communication with the surrounding world.

The communication and dissemination strategy is one important element in realising Strategy 2020 where it is laid down that Statistics Denmark must participate more actively in public debates and adapt services to the new and changing needs of users.
