International trade in services and the balance of payments are calculated on the basis of the UN's Nomenclature of Services Extended Balance of Payments Services Classification (EBOPS 2010), as stated in the Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services (MSITS 2010), issued by the UN, et al in 2010. EBOPS is incorporated as a nomenclature in the EU balance of payments regulation etc. cf. above, which is based on the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 standard.
